Thank You for being my firm foundation when life feels delicate and uncertain. Help me to find peace in Your presence and trust Your strength to carry me through each challenge.
In my journey with recovery and faith, I have found incredible support through my sponsor and home group. They have been like guiding lights, showing me how to deepen my relationship with You, Lord, in practical and meaningful ways.
Finding Guidance in the Fellowship
When I first came to Al-Anon, I felt lost and overwhelmed. I didn't know how to navigate the challenges of life without turning to substances or controlling everything around me. My sponsor, John, and the members of my home group welcomed me with open arms. They shared their stories of struggle and triumph, showing me that I wasn’t alone in my journey.
Learning to Trust Your Plan
Through their example, I learned the importance of surrendering to Your will, Lord. They taught me that true strength comes from trusting You and allowing Your plan to unfold. Instead of trying to control every outcome, I learned to pray for guidance and take action with faith.
Support in Times of Uncertainty
There were moments when I felt like giving up, Lord. The weight of past mistakes and the fear of the future weighed heavily on my heart. However, my sponsor and home group reminded me of Your promise of mercy and forgiveness. They encouraged me to seek Your wisdom and listen for Your voice in the stillness of prayer.
Celebrating Milestones Together
One of the most beautiful aspects of my journey with them has been celebrating milestones of recovery and faith. Whether it was marking one year of sobriety or discovering a deeper understanding of Your love, Lord, they were there, cheering me on and reminding me of Your grace.
Growing Closer to You, Lord
Through their support and encouragement, I have grown closer to You, Lord. They have shown me that living a life of faith is not about perfection but about persistence and trust. Together, we continue to learn from each other's experiences and encourage one another to seek Your will above all else.
Lord, I am forever grateful for the gift of my sponsor and home group. They have been Your instruments of love and healing in my life, guiding me towards a deeper relationship with You. As I continue on this journey of recovery and faith, I pray that You continue to strengthen our bond and use us to support others who are seeking Your light.
