How My Higher Power and Al-Anon Helped Me Find My Way

Most people agree that a more peaceful world would be best for everyone. But often, we struggle to make this happen. True peace begins within each of us. If we don’t feel good about ourselves, it’s hard to feel good about others. When we’re conflicted inside, we tend to see conflict in the world around us. And if our families are in turmoil, peace seems impossible.

I found my path to inner peace through my higher power and Al-Anon. My higher power—a source of strength and guidance—helped me confront my inner struggles. Al-Anon, a support group for families and friends of alcoholics, provided a safe space to share my feelings and learn from others’ experiences.

In Al-Anon meetings, I learned that I’m not alone in my challenges. Hearing others’ stories helped me understand my own feelings better. Through shared experiences, I discovered new ways to manage conflict and cultivate peace within myself and with those around me.

Practicing Al-Anon’s principles, such as acceptance and taking things one day at a time, taught me valuable life lessons. I learned to let go of resentment and focus on what I can change. By improving my inner world, I found that my outer world also became more peaceful.

My higher power became my anchor during tough times. Whether through prayer, meditation, or seeking guidance, connecting with my higher power gave me the strength to face difficulties with courage and grace.

Al-Anon showed me that peace is not just a dream—it’s something we can actively cultivate in our lives. By addressing our internal struggles and seeking support from others, we can create positive change, both within ourselves and in the world around us.

Finding peace starts with us. Through the support of my higher power and Al-Anon, I discovered the power of inner peace and its ripple effects on the world. By working on ourselves, we can contribute to a more peaceful and harmonious world for everyone.

Stop blaming others saying you love but preaching hate while claiming to only be upholding principles is not moving forward, If you have healed then heal forward no need to keep looking backwards. You gottawanna be free so be it.
