My Changing Personality with Al-Anon

Have you ever heard of Al-Anon? Well, let me tell you about it! It's this amazing group where people with family members or friends who have drinking problems come together to support each other. And guess what? Being a part of Al-Anon changed my personality in the coolest ways!

Before Al-Anon, I used to feel really sad and confused. I didn't understand why my family member drank so much, and it made me feel like it was my fault. But then, my mom told me about Al-Anon. She said it's a place where I can talk about my feelings and learn how to cope better.

The first time I went to an Al-Anon meeting, I was nervous. But everyone was so nice! They listened to me without judging, and some of them even shared their own stories. I felt like I wasn't alone anymore.

As I kept going to Al-Anon meetings, something amazing started to happen. I started to feel more confident. I realized that I couldn't control my family member's drinking, but I could control how I reacted to it. I learned how to set boundaries and take care of myself.

Al-Anon also helped me see things from a different perspective. Instead of just focusing on the negative stuff, I started to notice all the good things in my life. I became more grateful and hopeful.

One of the coolest things about Al-Anon is that it's not just about talking. They also have fun activities and games to help us relax and have a good time. I made some awesome friends there, and we support each other like a big family.

Now, I feel like a totally different person! I'm happier, more confident, and more understanding. Al-Anon taught me that change is possible, and it all starts with taking care of myself.

So, if you're feeling sad or confused because of someone else's drinking, don't worry. There's hope, and Al-Anon can help you find it. Trust me, it changed my life, and it can change yours too!
