How I Came to Believe

With the Help of God, My Sponsor, My Home Group, and Al-Anon

Once upon a time, I was very confused and unhappy. I didn't know how to handle my problems, and everything seemed really hard. But then, I found something that changed my life: Al-Anon.

Finding Al-Anon

One day, a friend told me about Al-Anon. They said it was a place where people could talk about their problems and get help. I decided to go to a meeting. At first, I felt nervous, but everyone was kind and welcoming. I realized I wasn't alone.

Meeting My Sponsor

In Al-Anon, I met a wonderful person called my sponsor. A sponsor is someone who has been in Al-Anon for a while and helps new people. My sponsor listened to me and gave me good advice. They shared their own experiences and made me feel hopeful. With my sponsor's help, I started to see things differently.

My Home Group

I also found a home group in Al-Anon. A home group is a small group of people who meet regularly. We share our stories and support each other. In my home group, I made new friends who understood what I was going through. We laughed, cried, and learned together. My home group became like a second family to me.

Discovering God

Through Al-Anon, I began to think more about God. People in my home group talked about how believing in a higher power helped them. I decided to pray and ask God for help. I felt comforted knowing that God was there for me. Believing in God gave me strength and hope.

Believing in Myself

With the help of God, my sponsor, and my home group, I started to believe in myself too. I learned that it was okay to ask for help and that I didn't have to face my problems alone. Al-Anon taught me to take things one day at a time and to be kind to myself.

You Gottawanna A Happier Life

Now, I am much happier and stronger. I know that I can handle anything with the support of God, my sponsor, and my home group. Al-Anon changed my life, and I am grateful for the people who helped me believe in myself.

If you ever feel lost or alone, remember that there are people and places that can help you. Al-Anon, a sponsor, a home group, and faith in God can make a big difference. They helped me believe in myself, and they can help you too.
